The way we grow
We run a low-tech, soil-first farm because it keeps attention where it belongs: on healthy ground, good harvest timing and produce we are proud to hand over.
No-till practices, cover crops, organic matter and close observation guide the work.
A focused crop list lets us learn each crop deeply and improve consistency without overextending.
Weather and harvests change. We share what is actually available instead of promising beyond the field.
From our fields
These are our core crops, not an always-in-stock list. Timing and quantities shift with the season, weather and the needs of existing customers.

Fresh in summer · cured into storage season
Music garlic, offered fresh at harvest and cured while supply lasts.

Cooler parts of the growing season
Harvested in small, steady plantings for quality rather than a single large flush.

Summer
Zucchini and summer squash picked regularly through their productive window.

Greenhouse season
Greenhouse-grown slicers managed for flavour, consistency and a useful kitchen size.

Our story
Soil to Soul Ltd. was founded in 2021 by Kage Harris and Zac Ordinelli, two Nova Scotians who wanted to build a farm around useful work, healthy soil and food grown close to the people eating it. When we secured land in Upper Rawdon in 2023, the idea became a working market garden—built bed by bed while we learned the ground and earned local relationships.
We still grow, harvest and sell the crop ourselves. Keeping the farm owner-operated lets us stay close to quality, communicate clearly and make realistic commitments to the chefs, retailers and customers who depend on us.
Our aim is not to be the biggest name on an invoice. It is to be a dependable local grower: easy to reach, honest about capacity and serious about what leaves the field.
